Job Summary
Letshego Bank Namibia is seeking a talented and driven Automation Specialist to join our Digital Transformation team. This role is central to the bank’s 4IR digital agenda, responsible for designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions that eliminate manual effort, reduce errors, and improve operational efficiency across the organisation. The ideal candidate brings hands-on RPA development experience, strong process analysis skills, and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement.
Job Details
- Design, develop, test, and deploy automation bots using Automation Anywhere (or equivalent RPA platforms), following approved governance frameworks and coding standards.
- Conduct structured process discovery workshops with business units, assess automation suitability, and produce automation opportunity assessments and business cases.
- Develop workflow automation solutions using scripting (PowerShell, Python, VBA) for data extraction, report generation, file processing, and system interactions.
- Monitor the production automation environment, respond to bot failures, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain SLA compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive automation documentation including Process Definition Documents (PDDs), Solution Design Documents (SDDs), test results, runbooks, and change logs.
- Contribute to the Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE), including reusable component development, coding standards, and best practice documentation.
- Evaluate emerging automation technologies including AI-assisted automation and intelligent document processing and provide adoption recommendations.
- Engage with the different departments and teams to identify and deliver automation solutions.
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate, 25 points and or more.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in RPA development, automation engineering, or process automation.
- Proficiency in Automation Anywhere (Bot Creator, Control Room, IQ Bot) or equivalent platforms such as UiPath or Blue Prism, in a production environment.
- Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, PowerShell, and/or VBA for supplementary automation development and integration.
- Experience in structured process analysis and documentation including process mapping and Process Definition Documents (PDDs).
- Understanding of IT change management principles, data security, and data compliance as they apply to automated processes handling sensitive banking data.
- Automation Anywhere Certified Advanced RPA Professional (or equivalent UiPath or Blue Prism certification) is strongly preferred.
- A NQF7 Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Engineering is an added advantage.
