Critical Deliverables /Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Conduct regular monitoring of compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures within the organization.
• Provide compliance advice and training to the business.
• Interpret regulations for the business.
• Review and advise the business on internal policies and procedures.
• Draft internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Prepare compliance reports for management and other committees.
• Respond to and resolve all compliance-related queries raised by relevant stakeholders, including government and regulatory investigations.
• Ensure that the organization’s operations and business transactions comply with all relevant regulatory and internal rules by developing and implementing an effective and efficient compliance programme.
• Perform any other compliance-related tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

Required Knowledge & Skills

1. Grade 12, 25 points and above
2. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Banking, Law, Economics, Data Science/Analytics, Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
3. Knowledge of local and international regulations, data protections, and prudential regulations. 
4. Familiarity with compliance technologies and tools. 
5. One year of experience in Regulatory Compliance, Legal, or Data Science/Analytics within the financial services or banking sector will be an added advantage.

Certifications

International certifications in Risk management, such as CIRM, CRCM or ICM will be an added advantage
