Job Summary

Purpose of the Job: LMFSN Administrator Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of loan processing, compliance with policies and legal requirements, effective communication with various stakeholders, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives. These efforts collectively contribute to an enhanced customer experience and the overall success of the loan processing function within the organization.

Critical Deliverables /Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and implement measures to enhance the overall customer experience throughout the loan application and approval process.
  • Address internal customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Verify that documents submitted with loan applications are accurate and align with supporting documents acquired daily.
  • Ensure the accuracy of information to facilitate timely loan approvals.
  • Confirm the presence of an active Application Processing System (APS) reservation for each processed loan application whilst ensuring active monitoring to manage the reservations ensuring efficient processing.
  • Liaise with Direct Sales Agents (DSA) to address errors in loan applications promptly.
  • Ensure that affordability checks for clients comply with established standards outlined in the Credit Policy and legal requirements.
  • Actively participate in the ongoing assessment and improvement of business processes related to loan processing.
  • Contribute to the transition towards automated processes, such as eForms and eReports, to enhance efficiency.
  • Maintain operational standards established by the organization in the loan processing department.
  • Work towards and meet specific targets set by the organization to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills Required of the Job Holder:

  • Must have grade 12 with minimum 25 points
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field in banking would be considered an added advantage.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience, preferably in a financial institution or a role related to loan processing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with various departments.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate verification of loan documents and adherence to policies.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Manage workflow efficiently, especially in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
