Job Summary
The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for providing strategic, commercial and operational leadership for Letshego Lesotho. The role carries full accountability for the overall performance of the organisation, including delivery of the approved strategy, sustainable profitability, balance sheet stewardship, regulatory compliance, governance, customer growth and organisational capability. Working closely with the Board, local executive and the broader Letshego Group, the CEO will lead the business through its next phase of growth by strengthening commercial performance, accelerating digital transformation, enhancing operational excellence and building a high-performing organisation that delivers long-term shareholder value.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 10 years’ experience in an executive leadership role with full business responsibility within financial services.
- Strong understanding and experience of the Lesotho microfinance, banking, consumer financial services environment.
- Strong commercial track record delivering sustainable growth and profitability.
- Strong regulatory engagement experience and experience working with Boards and Board Committees.
- Proven experience leading organisational transformation and change.
- Strong financial management capability, including capital, treasury, liquidity and portfolio management.
- Knowledge of digital banking, fintech partnerships and technology-enabled financial services.
- Understanding of ESG principles, responsible financial services practices, Regional or pan-African experience will be advantageous.
QUALIFICATIONS - Master’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Banking or Professional Qualification in a relevant discipline preferred.
